Good for you. We should all make something just for ourselves.

I'm replacing bookmarks. I have given so many away, I need to replenish my supply. And then maybe coasters or napkin rings.

I was browsing new designs and there were a lot of them I liked but none seemed to be under 10 dollars. I need to shop in my files,I know there is plenty there I have never used

I'm not able to right now, as my machine is on the naughty list. I won't get it back for a week or ten days. I'm drooling over my designs instead, my keyboard is getting pretty soggy.

I am trying to figure out how to make sure that my machine stitches where I want it to stitch. So far I have stitched out two floral sprays in the CORRECT places and the correct alignment. Yippee!!
This piece of fabric will be lined with another embroidered piece or an already quilted fabric, then used as a cover for one of my machines.
It took ages to work out where to put the design and there are pencil lines all over the white fabric. Next step is some cross stitch designs to fill an area near the sprays.
Never much worried about placement with designs I have stitched out over the last few years, but now I am getting picky.
When I went to embroidery machine classes, I just followed what the teacher gave us to do and didn't always understand what I was doing. I am on a mission to understand what I am doing and make my stitch outs MY work.

It's between a blouse for me, cushions for my glider rocker or FSL, but first I have to finish my granddaughter's dress and grandson's tie to match his sister's dress. Finished grandson's vest before Christmas, but not the tie. Just had to measure the length of the shoulder straps and then hem her dress, but had to wait for her to try it on. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. LOL

I am going to try my first time embroidery on face washers, if I don't mess them up too much I will graduate to hand towels, THEN, I will go for the big fellas and try embroidering on towels.

I would like to make something special for a dear friend whose hubby passed away suddenly a couple of weeks before Christmas, but need a few suggestions as I am still a little in shock myself and, as it has been thunderstorm weather here, I have had a few extra migraines, which haven't left me very imaginative.
