It could be or it could be of the saying I recently heard which was "When something went wrong in our generation, we did not get rid of it, we fixed it" So much truth in that.

Have never heard this saying but it is very beautiful.
I never heard that saying. I was not even sure what anniversary it was. I guess I should look these things up as we all know the internet is a wealth of knowledge.

Well I never thought of it that way!! You are not that far behind me. The next 10 years for you will go really fast.
I think it's amazing to have as many years as we do in a relationship. I can't imagine life as a single. You are right, time really is flying.

Well Mary, I typed you a post and must have forgot to hit Submit, yesterday.-lol- In any case, Happy Belated 55th Anniversary to you both! I wish you both, many more! I know what you mean about time flying, seems that way to me at times, wondering too where all the time went. I have a huge portrait of me when we first married, hangs over our bed. My grands, when some were little, used to say it was their Aunt Ashley (my youngest daughter). I would tell them no, it was me, a long time ago. I don't think they believed me until they got older. They didn't know we were young, at one time!-lol-Wishing you many more years together.-Toogie
