Good Morning Cuties, I have the strangest experience, I have a Topaz 30 - only 16 mos old. I have a MAC and my hubby put on Parallels to have windows on it, too. I had Fusion before and was able to embroider. All of a sudden, my USB chip would not work. He (my wonderful hubby) called Parrelles- 6 hrs on line_ no help. My local dealer was on holiday...My hubby bought me a laptop computer-for sewing only. Nothing worked. Finally, store opened. They took the usb in, after testing several machines concluded it was the chip. Now, I have to wait a week to get a new one. I put IOU notes in gkids stockings for later gifts. Hope this works as I am backed up in gifts. Plus, I have a laptop, too....

I have Topaz 30 as well. Have you tried using some other brand's USB stick? most of them work well with the machine. Just don't fill it too much with designs, remain below the 2 Mb.

Good to know but I thought the Topaz usb had a security code on it. If anything else was to be used, it would corrupt the machine. Thanks

Does the Topaz have a connecting cable? My Ruby has, but I never used it, always the flash drive as it not only holds some of my favourites but lets me put all designs I want to use for one project on it in one go. But it might be a solution during the waiting time.

i use a cheap Walmart usb stick on mine all the time and save theirs for????
