I have used OESD Explorations Lettering software as long as I've had my machine. Worked great until last week, when it decided to STOP working. I've talked with the Bernina dealer and emailed OESD. They both say it is not sold/supported anymore. My best recourse is to search for a new dongle. If anyone has a dongle (or the entire package) they would like to sell, please let me know. If I can't find one I guess I'll have to "bite the bullet" and learn a new program. Thanks in advance for any help.

If i remember correctly it was free. You should not need a dongle. Did you buy up grades? Maybe they required dongles. I would not but an obsolete software. Are you using ART format? If so buy a version of Artista. You are already familiar with a sister version and you will catch on quickly. I love my Artista ver 7. Kay

I have OESD Explorations and yes it does come with a dongle but I have not used it for years so have not keep it updated but surprised that they don't support it anymore.

No, it wasn't free. In fact, I think it was about $200. I haven't purchased any upgrades, so I won't spend much to replace the dongle, but just thought before I purchased new, I would see what was available. I'll check on Artista. Thanks for the suggestions.

I don't know what Operating system you are using -- but you could try to remove or roll back the last update. Microsoft updates can cause challenges for digitizing software if certain things (stuff the digitizing software uses) get updated.
If you do not know how to do this -- ask someone you know to help you with it.

Try the yahoo group SewIt'sForSale. If anyone has one for sale, you can negotiate directly with them. Also there is a group called SewingStuff4Sale. Same idea, let's you post what you are in search of as well as what you want to sell. Hugs. Nan W

This is an old post. I also bought the Explorations software only to find it stopped working after XP Windows. Cost me a lot more than $200. Would never buy a program with a Dongle again.

Yes, this thread is over a year old. Thanks for the offer, jame2734, but I did find someone to help me. And after talking with folks all over the world, my helper only lived 45 minutes from my town. We met in the middle and worked together. I still have some issues, but I think it is my OLD computer, not the software. When it works, it works great; when it doesn't there is nothing I can do to make it work! Guess that will be my next big purchase.
