First day at 'big school' for the twins and first time they have been split up. Georgie does not have uniform for the first year. Ben is at a special needs school. He does have a uniform but is refusing to wear it. His teacher is not the least bit fazed.

Pictures are fine now. We have just had a huge rain storm - maybe that was the problem

That's kids for you! Our schools start here in a week and a half. I can't believe Aqualina ( who will be 5 in February) is going to be in Kindergarten! Ophelie is not attending school this year as her 5th birthday is not until the middle of April and teachers recommend children born then wait another year. I hope the kids are having a lovely time at their 'big school' - love Chris

What an exciting time for them. They both look very happy. I am sure they will get used to being apart. It will make being together even more exciting. Hugs Marg

Thank you Marg. As a child I was absolutely fascinated with twins. Never thought I would have twin grandchildren. It is a very different thing to a single child.

My mother always wished one of us would have twins but it never happened. My grandmother on my fathers side was one of 19 and there were two sets of twins amongst them. It is a wonder that twins did not come out in our generation. Can only imagine the difference rearing two at once. Fun times.

All the children in New South Wales have to wear a School uniform. It saves a heck of a lot of time, money and stops you having to choose a different set of clothes everyday. Love Chris

Ben is not easy Chris, so at the moment no one is pressuring him to wear the uniform. Hopefully he will change his mind soon but I doubt it.

Sarah this is lovey picture of Ben and Georgie. The first day of school I very special and a day many of us still remember with great clarity. Its better that Ben goes than there is a worry about what he is wearing. Twm started full time at the start of this term (and apart from being tired earlier in the evening) is enjoying My other son in law is a twin and its very special and a bond for life. There is a local family here and they chose to send their twins to separate schools from day one so that the children would be seen as individuals and not part of a pair. Did you make Georgies very pretty dress, its beautiful?

Oh, and I agree...
it is so very special to have twins. After one daughter and three sons we were surprised to find us becoming twin parents in the end (me at the age of 39). Now our girls Marie and Monique are 20 years old and still I think them as a special gift. Funny: When they were babies I felt sorry for each mother with an only baby - thought, it must have been soo boring for her just to have one

My daughter also had these two at the age of 39!!

They are so adorable. One wants to just reach out and hug. It's good that they are being separated though. We have a pair of twins(girls) at our church in their 20s. Their mom would never let them be separated from Kindergarten on. they are now co-dependent upon one another. One cannot do anything without the other. This is not good nor is it healthy. They both still live at home .When they work they get jobs together one want work unless the other does.

I have heard of this before - quite scary. Ben relies on his sister but he has been fine going to school without her, much to our surprise.

What happy faces! They look so excited to go to "big" school. And there's little Georgie modeling her pretty dress that you never thought you'd see her in! Ben's teacher sounds just perfect.

Such cuties!! Love those happy faces. Twins are such fun. We have a set of grandsons who are twins (not identical). They soon will be 23 years old and are different as night and day in all their thoughts and things they do. It was such fun watching them grow up.
