Need some help. I am still on very much of a learning curve with my iPad. I have dl AirStitch, Drop Box, Stitch Buddy and AirStash. Some dl's will let me put the design into Stitchbuddy but most only allow AirStitch and Air Stash. My question is - is e mail the best way to get designs onto my computer?

I use my iPad all the time and I use a Macbook Pro laptop. Mostly I surf the Internet on my IPad and I tend to save a lot of files to Dropbox but sometimes I want the pictures to go with the embroidery file and when I save them separately on my IPad I can not rename them. In this case I email the page to myself then when I am on my laptop I go and save the embroidery file and the picture so I can put them together.
I do not know anything about the other programs you mentioned, but assume they are similar to Dropbox. So you are still going to have. To use your computer to download them to the computer so you can use them. If you use a Mac computer and would like a little more help with saving pictures and files just send me a PM and I will be glad to help if I can.

I'm not au fait with the names of the programmes you've mentioned other than Drop Box. Apparently they work with the Ipads quite well from what I've read about them all. I'm not sure whether or not emails are the best option, but someone who knows more about computers will come along I'm sure and help you out. I often get downloads via email and I download them quite easily onto my laptop. I'll be interested to read what to do with an Ipad etc. Love Chris

You can download from dropbox directly to your computer.

Sometimes I mail to myself at computer addy, but most of my designs downloaded to ipad, I 'open' in dropbox & let them auto transfer to dropbox in my desktop. I have STITCHBUDDY but only open in it rarely. I've found that designs that DL as PHP will only transfer to DB...but might be cause I use Apollo browser instead of Safari. Apollo has ad blocking. I should test the PHP formats with safari. Do you find you use AIRSTITCH and air stash a lot? Can you live without it?ha. Just wondering. I'm so annoyed at the constant bug fix updates for my apps.

Sorry I can't help at all...I am not an IPad-er...my "tablet" runs Windows 8.1 just like my computer and functions exactly the same...

I only have dropbox and use that to download designs. And the best way to get them to your computer is by opening dropbox there.
Tutorials in pdf format go into iBook. I'd rather have my iPad next to me when doing a project than the much larger laptop.
I don't know any of the other programmes you mentioned.
