Update on my surgery: the surgery went fantastically the new kidney started functioning during the surgery I'm doing great on the input and output. The doctors are anticipating discharging me Monday! I'm thrilled and so excited. No more 10-hour daily dialysis sessions. I'll be able to play with my EM again!! Thanks

Super! My good friend lived ten years with her new kidney (from her niece) and she died of something else (heart).She said the key was to mostly stay on her kidney diet to "pamper" her new one, as the #2 was only functioning at a very low level. i wish you a quick recovery and much fun stitching away, after a suitable recovery time, of course.

I am so VERY happy for you! You must be giddy with anticipation of getting to do your favorite things again! Hope that all continues to go well. Bet these next days are going to fill your mind with everything you wish to do right away. take your time and just pamper that new kidney so it will give you many enjoyable years!
