Welcome to Cute. Machine embroidery is exciting, you will probably find you have a new addiction in your life. What machine did you get for Christmas?

Oh my, do you have a bunch of joy in store for you. Takes a little time, but easy to learn. Just keep trying. And you have found the best site on the web. The Cuties are a happy bunch. Ask a question and you get an answer quickly. And remember the only dumb question is the one you don't ask. (Read that somewhere and liked it.) I've been here about a year and it's so much fun. First thing I look at after my email. And last thing I check at night. WELCOME

My husband bought me a Brother Disney to see if I liked embroidery. It's a little scary until I get the hang of it. I hope to post some pictures soon if my project turns out well. Keep your fingers crossed.

Hi, and welcome, Britt!!
I began machine embroidery with the Brother PC8500D, many years ago. It has never been to the shop; just kept gently serviced/cleaned myself, and still stitches beautifully today. That speaks highly of the Brother brand. I was glad it had at least a 5x7 hoop, as I would have gotten tired quickly of the 4x4 limitation. It was a combo machine, and wish I had purchased an embroidery only machine; would have saved money. (As I have only used it for embroidery, and have a great, inexpensive sewing machine.) I was so intimidated by my machine, it took me months to relax using it! LOL
Enjoy your machine! There's lots to learn to become proficient at machine embroidery, but you will soon become addicted! Glad you have joined us Cuties! There are many talented folks to guide you on this site! Any questions, ask away; there will be someone help you!
