For such a simple design, this is the hardest one I ever worked on......a client drew out what she wanted on her sweatshirt and it boggled my mind how to lay this out with die lines, tack downs and the top stitch, but after about 5 hours, I got it.......Sue, you would have done this in 5 minutes..LOL! I will post a 5x7 version on my website...this one is in a 10x10 hoop....it is called Pegs Hearts......Oh, I put a crystal butterfly in the middle.....now am working on a Christmas tree one she wants......another applique....YIKES!

This is lovely Miss Vicki! If this is a replica of what she wanted you hit the heart in the middle to a tee! Great choice of fabrics.

Intertwining the hearts like this looks beautiful. As for simplicity, that's a misnomer with all those different parts. Die lines and tack down is easy, but the stitching order of the satin outlines is quite tricky. The up and under is not as straight forward as you'd wish for. I think I would go tiny purple pieces, all the reddish ones, then large purple. Great work!

you could do a quicky with just two hearts for Valentine, would be nice for a smaller hoop too.

Not simple, that's for sure! I admire your persistence and ability to get this stitched out so nicely.
