thanks Marg. Just home from the Council's free breakfast, which has become a tradition for us. Nice chance to see people we haven't seen for a while.

We have had a lovely day. All the little villages in the area have a celebration. The Tweed Shire Council each year have a celebration at one of the local villages, they have a Citizenship Ceremony for anyone wishing to become Aussies. Hand out Australia Day awards. We went to Tyalgum another small village in our '65 Mustang where there was a small street parade, flag raising, honors presentation, a few songs and poems, morning tea with tea, damper, Anzac biscuits and lamingtons. Then there is a cricket match between the Aussies and the Indians. We have a large community of Indians in the district. It was very very hot and is a bit stormy looking now. Have had my 'nanna nap' in the air conditioning and am feeling quite refreshed. My day in the 'lucky country'. Hugs Marg

Well we invited Mum over for a typical barbecue Lamb lunch. I had put on some roasted pumpkin and potatoes and cooked them for an hour and a half so they are really crispy and crunchy. Mum loves crunchy roast potatoes. I just threw together a tossed salad and Trev had bought a pasta salad (which I didn't like!!). I then dressed a beautiful Pavlova with Blackberries, Raspberries and drizzled Passionfruit pulp all over it. A nice cuppa and some bubbly finished off the luncheon. It's been raining here most of the day, very overcast, humid and sticky to top it off. Had a great day. Love Chris
