i dont want to do skydiving but I would like to make a quilt for my cousins grandchild who is due to be born in the next days. i have never done before - may be I need some assistance.

Anne the gran has some sky diving embroidery for children as do other sites, just embroider the images on separate blocks....

I am sure the skydiving refers to spendlove's January challenge and not to embroidery designs.

there are numerous videos on YouTube both on making a patchwork top and on (machine) quilting it. Craftsy has several classes, including free ones on the subject.
And here are maby seasoned quilters who'd be more than willing to anser any specific questions you might have.

take a look at Missouri Quilt Store's tutorials on YouTube they are very easy quilts (I'm trying the disappearing hourglass 2) I'm sure you'll find something you like there is also tutorials showing you how to quilt it..

Start simple with few blocks. It's easier to see it done as others have said, so Yay for YouTube. You can always come back here and ask questions.

thank you for all the nice ideas. i am still waiting to hear if to sew for a girl or boy. great problem to choose the colours of the fabrics. i hardly can decide to cut any fabric.
