Some of you have posted beautiful napkins here, but I am just as proud of these. They are my first to do, with the help of some very special Cuties here. I knew I had a placement design, from when DBC was up. It was by mops/Martine for a hankie, but a corner square design placement is the same for anything, I believe. Square may be different sizes, but the angle is the same. Anyway, another Cutie namely Meganne designed my G initial and it stitched out perfectly, EVERYTIME. Meganne manually punched the design and the name of it is Diana Script Font. It may be 'simple' but it is lovely to me. We have a bridal shower Saturday, for a great-nephew. My 2 daughters and I bought this runner (already embroidered), 8 napkins (I monogrammed), and a 4 pc place setting of the dinnerware they registered for. I don't have a photo of the dinnerware as my daughter kept it in her SUV, after we came back from shopping. I even monogrammed the button straps that hold them. Thanks for looking-Toogie EDITED-1/30/15 Do a close up of the runner and tell me how you think the rust colored design is done. It is raised, and I wish I had felt like looking at it better, before I sent for my daughter to wrap. The back was lined so I couldn't see the other side.

Thank you Lillian. As it turns out I may not even make it to the shower. I thought it was my hip giving me the devil this week, but now my back hurts as well. I have been pushing myself, just to do my bus route, and get this gift and another done. I called the DR. can see me today, at time for my evening route (probably can't get a sub this late), or Monday at 9 am , if I can make it till then. By Monday I'll either be better and won't need to go, or worse.ugh...but I'll miss the shower, and I so wanted to go.

Well done because of you and mops! I like the underlay stitching, I guess that is what it is called. I think it helps keep the fabric from puckering/pulling around the design, when it does the satin stitch. Very nice font Meganne and I thank you for the bottom of my heart.-Toogie

These look great! What would we do without Mops corner placement design?

by toogie 29 Jan 2015
I almost gave up searching for this corner placement, but luckily I found it. I knew I had save it, but it was when I first started collecting, and it was in my ITH files. I guess I didn't know 'where' to save it. I did save it as mops design but was unsure to mention exactly whose it was. Meg said is was okay, so I am assuming it is okay with mops, too. Thank you Cuties and all others for commenting. I will come back and answer each one personally, and spread flowers, but right now have to go to work.Have a great day, Toogie.

Why thank you, that's sweet of you to say. The button strap came with the napkins, I just monogrammed them too. I showed the button on top side of straps, and a mono on back.

And Martine for her placement design. :-)
by toogie 30 Jan 2015
Thank you Sarah, I too think they came out well. Also, like Meganne said we can't forget mops corner placement design. This made it so much easier and faster . I didn't have to mark for each one. This design was very important in the success of this project. Thank you Martine. I am so happy you offered it in DBC and that I saved it.

Look in your old DBC files for the placement design. (The Diana font was from Meganne.) I remembered I had it but took me a time to find, and time hasn't been on my side too much this week. Thanks for looking.
