Look what I have been getting my husband to do for me. I emb an announcement, for the shower Saturday, but couldn't find a frame, with a well made back, unless I paid $40. So... here's what he's doing for me. It is 11x14. #1 is front-#2 is back where glass and back set in (I like it for the front too, but maybe next time he can do one like that)-lol-#3 is the thin luan board used to wrap my emb burlap or emb fabric around and also hold glass- He made it from a cedar board we had left, from building our house. He has actually made two, one for our grandsons announcement, I haven't framed. I think he has done well, what do you think?-Toogie EDIT-I just posted the finished item in Projects.

I will show you when I get my emb in them. He is painting one black for me, but I haven't decided what to do with the other. Thanks for looking, I will tell him what you said.

Maybe I could get him to bring it to you!-lol-we went to the Smoky Mountains a few years ago. You live in a pretty place.My daughter and her family go up around Pigeon Forge, and rent a cabin for a week, for the last 5 years....Thanks

Thanks. Carpenter was not his trade, and when he said he thought WE could build our own house, I was skeptical, to say the least. Well, its no mansion, but its our home and still standing! This is funny. For Christmas our son-in-law bought him a new, bigger saw, than he had. We all know they are planning to build a house soon. The first thing he said was, "Now Papa, we didn't get you this for you to build our house."-lol- He isn't, but we thought it was funny.

Very well done Mr Toogie lol if he was a carpenter you would still be waiting you know the old saying if he's a plumber the taps leak if he's a carpenter the doors stick.. but there are a few exceptions to that rule.. Marian

That reminds me Marian..I had a substitute bus driver and I told him what this little boy ,we were picking up, moms did for a living. After we left he said, "I thought you said his mom was a hair stylist "- you should have seen HER hair that day! Lol
