Cool idea, but too late for me. My sweet husband bought me a mechanics dish with a powerful magnetic bottom. I can even hang it sideways & the pins stay put!

Interesting. Someone suggested using serger thread in your bobbin for machine embroidery. More choice of colour. Could be worth a try. Marg

Serger thread works great in the bobbin for embroidery...get a good quality one to help eliminate the fuzzies...use it all the time...also for my FSL that I want to look more like it was done by hand...got that tip from Tavernmaker! Most are 60 wt too...same as most embroidery bobbin threads...
