Well, I've been doing applique for years and years and you've done an exceptional job on the Star. I love the little chain stitch for the mouth, did you do that by hand? What sort of topping did you use - on towels I use a Glad Go-between or sometimes WSS (Water Soluble solvy the fibrous form not the plastic). I'm very impressed with your first attempt, now there is no stopping you. Congratulate your little 6 year old great colour choice. Love and blessings Chris, Newcastle, Australia

Thank you so much....your appreciation means a lot!:)
I didnt do the chain stitch by hand...just part of the design!
For the topping I used sulky solvy...the light plastic kind!

Cute design, well stitched, level, probably centered. I'd be tickled to get this towel!

You did a fabulous job. Love your colors and everything. My only suggestion is that I'd move it up about 2-3 inches next time. Not a deal breaker though.

Thank you so much for appreciating! I would keep in mind your suggestion next time. ..but actually this one is a small face towel so didnt move the design higher....should I still have??

It's just a preference of mine, but it isn't set in stone anywhere. Back in the 90's, when I first began, I looked at purchased items with embroidery and copied that. You are the fiber artist, so it is at your discretion where you put it.
