Gecko- was a free design, a while back and still is, but I just made my first one out of fleece. I am making some dolls for the girls, but really wanted something for the boys, too.This is really cute. However, this is REALLY small, see hand photos. It is done in the 5x7 hoop.-EDITED-Although the link for the gecko was posted some time ago in Community, I don't know how the moderators/Cute emb veiws/approves this site now. If you want the Gecko, pm me and I will give you the link in a pm, for you to still download free. There is also an appliqued gecko but I cannot figure out how to download it. I would love to have the applique too for a match set.

They are Cute,thanks, but not sure about cuddly. Thought about doing 'plain' balls, (yours) that is not something cuddly, but what boy wouldn't like a ball?

It is so cute! But, REALLY small? Nope, I have been wrestling with the Luv Monster in 4x4 all day. Your sweet Gecko would have been a breeze ;-) I have got t get a machine with a larger hoop. Your 5x7 sounds like a dream in comparison. Honestly, give the Luv Monster a try in a 4x4!

Look up I added a photo for you. The tail is what is the hardest to turn on this gecko.
See my comment added under the photo of your luv monsters. How about you sew and turn a Peekaboo Monster Egg (acreativemedley) in your 4x4 hoop for me and I will turn every gecko you ever make, lol!
Funny, I haven't tried the Peekaboo, but I got the design the other day in Community/Freebies.

Toogie, I love these! The ones I have been wrestling with is the freebie (last week or so, now for sale) Peekaboo Monster Egg fom acreativemedley.com. OH, my goodness, turning those tiny wings and taping them down so they wouldn't get caught in the final stitch. It was so bulky and then turning the entire thing was a job! Also, at the end of stitching the machine would go back to the center and it was so bulky that the foot would drag and hang on the fabric. Try the Peekaboo Monster Egg in your 4x4 hoop and you will be ready to sew and turn hundreds of your little Gecko ;-)

I was like you for a long time before I got the 5x7. Although I am thankful for my machine, there are times I wish I had still bigger hoop. The 5x7 does allow for a lot of the ITH projects and designs we make,tho. I got mine used from a private sale very reasonable price.

That is an adorable gecko! We saw them all the time when we lived in Guam. They would climb up our screens!

Brown tree snakes were there, but I never saw any. They had Jack Russell Terriers go thru our stuff when we packed out to leave. We did see a lot of king toads! They're huge, poisonous, and pop when you run over them in the car.
The woman I work with went to Guam, to visit her daughter and SIL, when he was stationed in Air Force there. While dd was there they had a scary typhoon.
We were lucky the two years my husband was stationed there. The only typhoon that came close was as we were getting ready to leave. Also my daughter was born there!

This fleece is the glacier kind, and a little thinner. I usually always get the Anti Pill fleece but didn't have it in this color.

Awwww, he is adorable! Geckos were our nightly entertainment when we lived in Saudi. We use to sit out on the patio and watch them catching bugs! Personally, I liked them a lot better outside the house than inside the house! I would love the link too if u don't mind!
