Did you ever have one of those super shopping days where you get a perfect parking space right of the bat? Everything that you want you find on sale for HALF PRICE & then you find more of what you know you will need & the sale price knocks your socks off? Well I had one of those amazing days today & I know Friday the 13th for the superstition people is supposed to be a bad luck day ( I am not into that & today is a great example of that) We went to the fabric store about an hour from here traffic was minimal which was great & the weather was perfect if not too cold Got the first parking spot @ every store Hubs was really surprised & quite happy too. Then all the fabric for all my upcoming projects were all ON SALE FOR 50% OFF WHEW HEW. I rarely shop @ this store because it is so pricey but today was the best exception....Aprons Pillow cases & Embroidery bases. This fabric was on sale then another 50% off of the lowest price & I got one cotton fabric here for just over $1 a meter! Then it gets even better we went off to another retail center & hubs noticed right off a sale on onesies regular price $5.99 on sale for....... can you believe the price of these! & right next to them were cotton sleepers reg $7.99 all on sale for ....................99 cents . What a great shopping day!

Oh gosh no I have decided that they will be pillow cases 2cd photo top 5 fabrics Then the left side summer fun with fruit bottom girls for aprons that I have had a request for. The beige on the bottom right will be so I can embroider fruits & vegetables & then attach to aprons to carry veggies in from the garden. Very excited to get started with such great deals too.
You gave me a clue on the fruit bottom girls. Aprons. I could see that. Kay

I have that fabric, also. They each have fruit butts. Pineapple ,pear, apple. peach,fig,etc. I bought it on site and now do not what to use it for. Kay
when I first saw this fabric awhile back I loved it! I have a pattern to make a bag done with it too. I never picked any of it up because it was very pricey. When I saw this & the price I was thrilled I bought 3 meters for less then the original price of one! Whew hew!

Love it!!! I have the fabric in #1 and #2 photos of the beach ladies fruit butts. It is a hoot! I have not been able to find a project perfect for it's use. I thought about a beach tote bag. Please let me know what you do with it. Kay

well my plan for that is an apron with a large deep pocket in the front that has an elastic carrying pocket with fruit & vegetables sewn on the front gathering the fabric so it is rather like a kangaroo pouch. My daughter has asked me to make one for her to carry the summer vegetables into the house instead of using a bowl & going back & forth. That's my plan what do you think? good idea. I bought the one fabric that looks a bit like chicken wire & thought that would be a great pocket to embroider on?

Something I would like to point out............. this is all very good quality cotton it can be intimidating to cut up for fear of wrecking it. I have learned that leaving it to sit is no better so if I am really concerned whatever I want to make out of this fabric I can do a practice run with muslin. It is a less costly adventure if I fail.......... but I WILL TRY! This fabric will not sit for fear of cutting it. Life is short ladies we all know this so wear that special dress & cut the lovely fabric while you can. You may not get the chance if you don't............~hugs & A bouquet to each of you~

YEAH...i love those times....i went to Joann's yesterday because i had a 50% off ticket only to find it doesn't work till next week..boo...but i used my 40% off got to the register to realize i had a coupon for an additional 20% off whole items-sale or not. so 60% is better than 50%...CONGRATS ON YOUR EXCITING SHOPPING TRIP
