Another challenging pillow slip for me..............I made the one & it was liked so well I was asked to make another for a upcoming birthday. This time I tried to put the name the other way round so that it faces the outside of the pillow. If you look closely @ #1 you can see the seam allowance already there & the reason for this..... I sewed it on backwards! Yup the lettering was on the inside of the case & not the outside. Sigh.........Good thing I got a new stitch ripper for Christmas. So a good tip to remember if your making one of these is to place the finished lettering upside down & then layer your fabrics. Even with my placement down pat & came really close to cutting the top of the crown off with my seam allowance, one more thing to remember if making one of these with redwork in the background don't add the wss till AFTER you stitch it out otherwise like me you will have to pick it out of all those tiny places, good thing I have my handy tweezers. A challenging case for me but I did learn a lot (I just hope that I remember it next time lol) @least I figured out that the fabric had to go upside down in order to get the right placement for it as shown in #3. I am glad it is finally done lol

In future, do like you did on the other one and write the name with a Frixion pen, then you know which way it should be.

Your pillow case is beautiful, it is the results that matter, the hard work made it even more special.

Beautifully done. Mistakes help us to be able to figure out things on other projects that we wouldn't even think about, so there will be one less mistake on something else that you do. I have made many of them, believe me I know. :)
