Has anyone ,any suggestions what I could make out of this rayon panel ?It measures 73cm x 83 cm along the purple borders.I found it while sorting through all my fabrics to find suitable ones for the first baby girl born in our family in 30yrs.Now there is a 60 litre box of summer fabrics & another of winter ones but the quantity is still the same.

It is beautiful. I'm not sure of the metric measurement since I use inches. What about a table cloth or the centerpiece of a quilt.

Not being symmetrical makes it harder to find a use for it.Spotted some plain black rayon fabric in Spotlight last time I was in there,so I'll have to remember to take it with me,next time to see if the black is the same shade black.

Reminds me of the scarves Victorians would drape across a piano. Do you have a piano?

No piano. If it only had the border across the top it would be easier to find a use for it.

Perhaps an apron skirt, focal panel on blouse, front of a skirt or a quilted bag.

Apron was the only thing I could think of, but being rayon I thought it was too thin.

Ah, but an apron does not have to be utilitarian. If unexpected company should show up, put on this apron and immediately feel dressier.

Drape it on a fireplace mantle or even a shelf.

Nice idea but no fireplace & shelves are full of books.

I think a little embroidered words in the left corner appropriate for Home thoughts and frame it and make a little stand and use it as a fire screen.

How about a large pillow for bed or sofa with appropriate backing for it/Lillian

This isn't an original suggestion, but I'd do a rolled hem & use it as a fabulous scarf. Drape over the shoulder of your coat; belt it etc..

Drape it over your sewing machine so that you see it every day. That way it will bring you joy until you decide what to do with it.
