I am back from my "cuddle fest" in Brisbane. Just had to see my two little grandsons. Went up Thursday and back to-day. What a trip home with the bad weather. I have never, in all my years of driving, been through such terrible rain. All I could do was follow the white lines and the shape of vehicles in front of me. This was for about an hour. Rain eased off closer to home but was rain all the way. There was some water just over the road bout 10 minutes from home (not deep). Still light rain here. Am feeling really sad for the people further up the Queensland coast who have lost so much. Hugs Marg

Thank you. These little ones grow too fast these days. I did make the most of my few days. I did do a bit of a panic at one stage coming home..... in the middle lane and barely able to see it was scary for a few seconds. Hugs Marg

Hi Marg, we've been away up in the Hunter and I had TV on all day yesterday watching the Cyclone in Queensland. I can't believe the amount of rain that has fallen and I too feel so sorry for all the damage done to property, animals and the forestation. It's very scary driving in conditions like that, so glad you made it home safely. We drove through rain like that once and was nearly going to pull over but it stopped. Love Chris

Thank goodness for cuddle fests. I'm glad you enjoyed yours. I'm grateful you made it home safe and sound. Driving through torrential rains and flooding is so dangerous.

Glad you are home save and that you enjoyed the little ones. My kids grow so fast - Anna is nearly my hight now with her 12 years ( her feet also :o) ). Hope you can relax now and don't need to drive again too soon.

not often, thankfully that we have 2 cyclones on the same weekend. Lam in NT, Marcia in Qld. Both very destructive, but the Qld one hit where more people live so got a lot more TV coverage. Think I would have been pulling into the nearest Motel, Marg, instead of driving in it.

It is only an hour and half drive. The rain was so torrential and I could hardly see the car in front of me and I was in the second lane of a four lane highway Not a good place to be for pulling to the side of the road with traffic everywhere.

Hi Marg, we have just come back from Cairns 2 Weeks holiday, had some rain but had a good time, we are near Jimboomba, face Mt Tamborine QLD, we got over 200mls from the cyclone , we are all right as we are on a hill high up , if we get rained in all of Brisbane would be under Ha Ha, Glad you had a lovely cuddle fest , we have friends in Rockhampton and can't get though to them on the Phone yet as the power is still out pore people up there we wish them well L Sherene X
