During my last traveling I "lost" both of my luggage tags with the keyring, there was no monogram on it, so I think, somebody liked it and he taked they away. Now I decided to change my plan to make new tags .Instead I used my cameo to make an iron on monogram. Because the vinyl is glittery it looks not silver on the picture. The same monogram is on the back .

Update: DH wants a monogram too, but more masculine and near the bottom

They won't be taking this from you! Beautiful job and the Monogram will help you spot your bag right away! Hope all your future travel goes without any loss of belongings.

Sorry Barbel, what is a CAMEO? The monogram looks great and hopefully it will not encourage thieves to steal your bag. Love Chris

Just looked it up on Google and saw a video on the Silhouette Cameo. Thanks.

The Silhouette Cameo is a cutting machine, which cuts exactly paper, cardstock, vinyl, fabric and others. The machine comes with their own software, so you can design your own cuttingfiles as I did with the monogramm. Of course you can by files for card making or scrapbooking....
I add you a link, so you can see a machin.

The Silhouette site has a lot of projects and tutorials that give a good impression of the possibilities. http://blog.silhouetteamerica.com/category/apparel

Great! Lovely font as well.
I have yet to use vinyl. Did you use the Silhouette brand or a different one. Plot4Fun has cheaper varieties. I think I would start with the Silhouette brand.

I used leftovers from a onlinedealer which sells cutting machines and ready stickers. To try the iron on vinyl I buyed some small sheets 8x30 cm flock and other vinyl. It works good. The font is called monogram font. You only have to look which number the knife uses and you must mirror the design because you cut on the back with the glue.

I've seen the cameo but already have more on my plate than I can manage. So I will enjoy you and Mops and your wonderful creations.

Nice job...I have wondered how many luggage tags have been taken by other travelers who admired them...
