Dont be intimidated by cutwork. ...if you have tried applique you can do this too :)

Your project looks very pretty! Quite a few people here started with this design. Cutwork is fun, isn't it. Just make sure you cut accurately.

Thank you! Not really....you just need patience to cut out the fabric like in applique work :) as others have mentioned here before a sharp pointy small scissors are the best!
