Hi there all! I showed you the snowman hat ....now heres the pirate hat which I stitched from scratch!
This was for my son and he too won the second position :)

Great job! I missed the snowman hat but I'll look back...what have you made this out of to make so stiff with body?

Well this is very funny coz when i had started with this I had no idea how to do it!
I used a thick drawing sheet (the kind they use to make charts in class for kids which is white on 1 side n sort of grey at the back) and went about making a structure then covered it with black cotton cloth and stitched it on my sewing machine! The very amateur skull applique was done by hand ( wish I had my embroidery machine back then)
And the white cord was also sewed on by hand :)
Do check out the snowman coz my girl placed 1st position and my pirate (my son) placed 2nd :)
