Hi Cuties,
Today is our elder daughter Dana and Jason's 10th wedding anniversary. Amy, myself and Jason's parents have and will be looking after the 3 children whilst they are away down in Melbourne.
Amy stayed at their place last night and tonight. To help Amy out we had Ophélie and Delphi stay here last night, as Steve had to be up at Mont Valley (our oldest friends winery in the Hunter Valley) at 6.30am! Otherwise I would have had to be at Amy and Steve's place at the crack of dawn - so we said to leave the girls here. Tonight I have Delphi only. I dropped the girls off at daycare this morning. Delphi had an early sleep and has been awake since 1.30pm. So tonight when I got home from Dana's place - (where we all had dinner - which was like a mad house!!!!) I read her a story whilst she laid in my arms drinking her bottle. I put her inside her sleep bag cuddled her, laid her down in her cot and came back out here to look for her other teddy and went back in the room and she was fast asleep! Can't wait to tell Amy in the morning. Only thing is she is bound to wake up through the night sometime! She did last night about 4.00am and then again at 5.00 when I decided to give her a bottle. She woke later at 6.30, only because Trevor and Ophélie came upstairs and found me in Ophélie's bed (she had woken in the night and came downstairs to our bedroom and because she fiddles and kicks etc. I went upstairs to her bed) and decided to wake me by prodding my face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about musical chairs.
It's been a long day!!!! Of course Trevor has worked the past two nights and doesn't get home till 9.00pm, by which time everything is done and dusted.
Isn't it great fun being a Nanna and Poppy I say as I slowly sink in to my recliner chair!!!!! Love Chris
