The second one looks like an invisible zipper.....stitched into a seam with special foot

& they are easier then you think! you try everything so try this too. You will wonder why you waited after you have made one. & a little purse is just the ticket!

Maybe you have different weaves for the different types of zips! I've just had a look at mine and mine are straight up and down! Love Chris

I agree with the others. Picture 2 is an invisible zipper. The first one will have a bit different weave next to the zipper. That is a stitching quide for sewing in the zipper.

I bought several zips earlier this week & the designs in the tapes were different but I think each manufacturer of zips have their own tape design.Also I noticed the plastic teeth of the zippers are getting finer .Maybe tape designs changed over the years too but they still work regardless of design or age.

I have noticed the different way the side fabric is woven on zippers. I thought it was something different manufacturers did.?.?
