No embroidery--Rainbow Patchwork Dress
This was made to order for my friend's daughter. I used 92 charms for the skirt. Took me a while to figure out how many to use for each row.
Lily is modeling for me here.

Thank you! My friend showed me a picture online and wanted something like that. I can't take credit for the idea. We decided to change the bodice from black and white gingham to white knit though.

Thank you! I thought about it because Lily loved it so much, but then my friend might not be too happy because she is a neighbor. She might not want to see Lily stealing the glory. I really should make Lily the peppermint dress.

Thank you! I bought 2 charm packs of pastel but didn't have enough. The orange ones look ok as they are in my stash but they look a little big out of place. Still, orange is one of the colors of the rainbow, I guess it's fine.
I know I've not been around much and I miss you very much. Lia is 8 months and hopefully she'll sleep through the night soon. I've been so sleep deprived that I haven't feel energetic enough to do much sewing. This was an order so it had to be done.

Hi Lucia, and it's so lovely to see your avatar back on here. I do hope Lia will start to sleep through for you soon. It's hard trying to do things with a little baby around, never-the-less you've done a wonderful job with this dress. Such a lot of work with all those patches. I see you mentioned below about the Peppermint dress - I can just see Lily wearing that. Our grand-daughters just love them. Good luck with Lily's hair growing too. Love Chris
