I've been sitting in my sewing room watching my 2 sewing machines sew out Martine's beautiful Biscornu. I bought it at Embroidery Garden. It is perfect, the back looks as good as the front. I've only used white on black as it looks so striking. Love Chris

1. On on left is Brother, one on right is Husqvarna

Chris Just as beautiful as your bags,. I too have both machines working on overdrive. Trying to do FSL things that i can put together when i am in Vic with Mum. Cant show as some are for Julies (nonna57sdaughter1) baby shower in a few weeks, Will have a show and tell then :))

They look so elegant and classy in black and white. I did mine on a reddish brown and that too had a strong contrast with the white embroidery thread.
I am regularly amazed at the beauty of those cross-stitch designs given how fast they can be digitised, so much faster than "normal" embroidery designs, filled or line-art. I always loved doing them by hand in cross stitch and still make them up as I go as knitting patterns. It almost feels like cheating that you can digitise them so fast and I often do one between normal digitising as a quick treat.

Wow these look great Chris :) the design is very pretty....has stitched out so well and to top it all up its black and white :) haha!
Thanks for putting both hoops along with the machine names for all to compare but I cant say any difference between them :)
What size it it Chris? I had to google 'biscornu' as I didnt know what it was....lol!

Thanks Fatima. Thought you'd like the black and white! There is no difference at all in the designs, both were made in the 4x4inch (100x100mm) hoop. The Husqvarna one on the right was done with a shinier thread than the one in the Brother hoop. Once I put the two pieces together it will be come a Pin cushion. Love Chris
