I have had a day of it. I worked this morning and when I got back,my husbands blood pressure was up. He has been on BP meds for about 2 years, but when it goes up, it goes. Finally got him to go to dr because it would not go down and I told him he was gonna have a stroke. 192/94 when we got to dr. They added 2 more pills to the one he is taking, to get it down. It is still high tonight 184/88 but doc said it may take to Wednesday before goes down and levels off. I know there are quite a few of our husbands sick, so add mine to your list, please. Oh dear Toogie, that is high! I do hope by now it has gone down considerably. It's 6.45pm Tuesday evening here and I'll certainly pray that it will go down to a normal BP. I notice this post was about 6 hours ago. Love Chris

Hi Toogie, my husband gets cinnamon sticks and soaks them in hot water to make a tea, then allows this to cool and drinks it to help bring down the blood pressure. He also has tablets. You can always give this a try. Hugs Maureen

Have personally had the same a few weeks ago, was 187 and thought eat my meal and see what it is and it was 121. Felt fine, what a shock. rang emergency service and they came out in a hurry and now on pills.
Hubby has been on pills for many years. It is so important to regularly check.
I was told by doctor I did not need pills, shows how wrong he was and how lucky I was too to be aware!.
Good luck to your hubby, he will be oke. steady on for a few days. Take care x

I know this scares you Toogie, if only it would scare him as well. I have to deal with this with Ron frequently and as you know he had another stroke as well as the MI last May. What would these guys do without us? Keep an eye on him and my prayers are with you/Lillian

One thing I do need to tell you that a lot of people do not realize. NSAIds will increase the BP. Ibuprofen makes my BP run high. with Ron Ibuprofen as well as Naprosyn will make his run high/Lillian

BP is down now to 136/70 and the 3rd medicine should help steady it. The doctor said it may be Wednesday before it comes down & levels off. Still don't know why it got so high but thats how it started 2 years ago. First time we knew anything was wrong, we just took it and it was a little over 200/99 ! He suffers with headaches anyway, so he said he didn't feel any different...Sorry I haven't gotten back to you all sooner, but been busy with the grands, too.
