Finally got all my customer thingy's done and am able to do some testing.........these are Oriental Squares Set and will be up on my website tonight.....I will be doing one of each of these on indigo blue placemats (as soon as I buy them) for my niece....I know traditionally the white one on the blue is generally seen, but I wanted to play with colors and now I don't know which I like best......I need your help!!!

I like all the different colors and would probably even go into the multi and variegated too as I get bored with just the usual. What about metallic? These are just so beautiful and some crystals here and there would be on mine also. Love your designs. Hugs and blessings from TN.

You are so right, Penny, the crystals would really add some nice bling......I thought about variegated, too, and metallic would be pretty......
I'd be careful about where the crystals are placed so that if a glass is set down on one, it doesn't throw the balance off. Maybe small crystals wouldn't matter that much though.

what color are your nieces dishes? It might be pretty to do the embroidery the color of her dishes. Cos all 4 of the colors you tested look great and it would be hard to choose... The designs are beautiful! ***4all***

What a great idea.......she has done most of her rooms in oriental, bamboo, cherry blossoms and such....will ask her..

Should look nice once you are finished the place mats. I put them on dark color fabric that way the designs will stand out in bright color threads. Thank you for sharing, Happy Stitching

I like the brighter colors, but the idea below of using a color from her tableware is would be perfect!
