Been there...done that...have the memories! OUCH, bless his heart.

I did that once and boy does it hurt. I found out if you have a lot of blood under the nail you can heat a large emb.needle( manual not machine emb.) heat till bright red but hold the needle with needle nosed pliers so you won't burn your fingers while heating it. then burn a hole through nail( you actually feel nothing) it lets some of the blood out from under the nail and you get immediate relief from the awful throbbing pain. Have done this over the yrs for other people so know by experience it really helps. Hope his pain is better by now/Lillian
