This is stitched on white burlap with a felt backing. I am still not sure if I should frame it or back it. I used a sparkling gold fabric for the applique cross. The pic is incomplete for privacy.

Sometimes I have trouble getting just the right shade of gold thread, but you have matched them perfectly to the fabric! I don't think I've ever seen stiching done on that kind of fabric before, but I think it turned out nicely. Well done!

Lovely job - Bob & Jody will love it - I would frame & mat it - make the matting thick or put a riser in it - so the glass doesn't touch the embroidery work. HUGS

This is beautiful. How and what did you use to stabilize this lovely design. At first I thought the material used for the cross was glitter paper but I really love the fact that it is material. Great job!

I used temporary adhesive to attach a layer of felt which I then floated on a piece of tear away stabilizer. I also did a basting frame stitch. for outdoor I would use a piece of muslin instead of the felt and back it with more muslin,
