I've been making dresses for my g-niece, Miss Ella. I had found this little piece of eyelet at the thrift store and thought it would be pretty with a bit of cheater-smocking across the top (design from Skeldale House). <br /><br />

If you look to the left of the design, you can see that the gathers were "pushed" a little bit. If I do this again, I need to anchor the gathers down a bit before stitching (or maybe float some water soluable on top of gathers to keep the foot from re-distributing). All-in-all, I'm happy with how it turned out.
Did you use the elastic thread in the bobbin?
