This morning my laptop behaved very strangely.

The mouse scroll wheel worked as if the control key was pressed, so it enlarged rather than scrolled.

I couldn't open emails, and each time I tried to log out of them, a new window opened, but behind the one I already had.

Eventually I switched off and rebooted after which everything was back to normal.

Have I been April Fooled? It has just turned 12 noon so the rest of the day should be safe!

Somebody had to do it if April Fooled. Personally I bet it's just your computer exerting it's muscle. Reboot always works for me.

Sounds fun or not as the case might be.

Just a thought do other countries have April Fools Day as the UK does or is it one of the quaint things that we do?

In France they have Poisson d'Avril - the April Fish

Yes in USA. I went to my son's work and told of his fellow workers it is his birthday and to be sure to tell him happy birthday (not his birthday). So he'd get little messages all day long.

And in the Netherlands as well.
Nice one on the regional TV and radio station. The Zoo in Emmen is renovating (which is true) and they needed a temporary solution for the penguins. A local school had offered an area and the children were asked to come dressed in black and white to make the penguins feel less stressed. Don't know if or how many people turned up to watch, there are always a few gullible ones.

We used to play lots of harmless pranks on each other when I was under 12, 50 years on & now nobody does anything - fun or irritatingly bad....
What happened?? err, I am in Australia.

There were a lot in the news here in UK.

There were a couple of things on the news in Aus. A car supposedly in a sinkhole outside a major TV station and a mayor requesting everyone working in the city to wear nametags (someone said this was inspired by a Seinfeld show) -people were to have pay docked if they didn't do it :)
