Love these ITH-teddys. I choose 19 x 15 cm which fits my largest hoop. I stuffed some with ordinary fill and some with (200 g) wheat grain for use as heating pad or cooling ditto :) They are quite popular

They look great Jean. I thought this was such a cute design when I came across it. They are the perfect size for a baby. I've made a couple of stuffed ones too. Where do you buy your wheat to put in them? I have been using rice. I think the wheat stays warm longer than the rice. So glad you liked the design. hugs, Susan

Glad you like them. I buy the wheat at the convenience store. It does smell a little when warmed up... thought of adding som lavender :) this should also have a relaxing effect. the 200g of wheat keeps warm for about 20-25 minutes

Good idea. What type of thread do you use? I would be concerned about my thread melting in the microwave

I use "Emmel, blank rayon 40" (I'm from Denmark and buy it in DK). It should be okay up to 95 degrees Celsius. It doesn't shrink or melt :)

Adorable little bears, and I love the idea of making them heating pads. They look like they're made of pretty fleece colors.

The black one is fleece (wrong side out) - the others are made of 'nervous velour' (don't know if this is what is't called in English?) :)

Do you use all cotton thread and material if it is for micowave?

As I wrote a bit earlier, I use "blank rayon 40". The fabric is cotton. I'm not sure if it matters - as the teddy cannot be washed (I guess it would end up as porridge?)
