Had a really good Market except for Monday. Sunday night we had so much rain. Luckily we packed everything away in Plastic bins but covers got soaked. Quick trip home to get fresh covers. We were supposed to finish at 4pm but the organizer went around about 1.30 to say pack up as it was getting very windy and too dangerous. All but two owls have gone and only 2 Angels left. Sold a few things that I have had for a while. Sold lots of my towels. Lady across from me was also selling towels but even if I say so myself mine are a lot better than hers. I have been asked for towels with Cats. I love the Animal Sketches from Embroidery Library but no cats like their Dog designs. They have some beautiful cats but they are too dense for me. Have contacted them and just waiting for an answer.

Congrats on being a top seller, at least in my book you are. I think you will be busy stitching this week to build up your stock again. I hope EL offers some good cat designs we all can use.

I think this is a mantra that viewers at markets utter. Much better than hearing what a load of rubbish. Exactly the same is muttered in the UK

Write a note to Emb Library.. I did about doing some cat sketches. They are always looking for ideas for designs. If you write they will have two requests. I am looking to do some for my rescue to sell .Suzanne

Sounds like you did well even with the bad weather. I know what you mean about feeling your towels looked better. Some people take short cuts and don't use a topping and it shows in the end results. I also find if you embroider something different to what you see mass produced for the shops. They fly off the table so fast.

I checked out the ones across from me and they were not finished very well and tops were not embroidered with nice subjects but they were cheaper.

Wonderful that you sold so much even with closing up early! Also hope that others will continue to see the quality of your work. Those extra steps in design selection and in stitching techniques really combine to make a superior project work any extra expense. Great Job and hope you are able to find even more designs that continue to fly off your market shelves. Pam

Glad the weather behaved it self until the afternoon.I love it when you sell things that have been around for awhile.
Had a stall booked for Easter Sunday but it started raining on Good Friday & continued through Saturday so we didn't load the car,it was still raining 1am Sunday morning.Woke up early,daylight saving had finished & it wasn't raining ,checked the weather radar & there was no rain nearby so woke up husband to help load the car,he reckon I was mad.About a 25% of the stall holders turned up ,the Lions charged us half price for the stall & I had a good morning even selling some items that I called white elephants.A certain person had to eat his words.
