I have an Embroidery program computer question could anyone help me?

I have embroidery program called 4D and also Stitch Era. The question is…… Both work together and use my design where I download my designs. But I did use 4D first and not with the other one. They don’t need each other to work. If I take Stitch Era off will I lose my designs? Thanks for any help.
