This is a large bag I made for my grandsons wife. It was something I wanted to try, and I am pleased, but too large for me! I hope she likes it. No embroidery, just some decorative stitching (see last picture, close-up) on some of the strips.-EDITED Friday night- I forgot to take a photo of inside bag. so here it is. I also made her a small bag with waterproof interior, to snap on a hook I sewed into the side seam inside. She also has 3 divided, inside slip pockets. All my zippers have pulls, but took photo before I added them. EDIT_Forgot to show inside this bag, it has 3 inside divided pockets. I put a hook for keys, but small case is hooked now-I also just finished mine, in another post, and forgot to put me a hook..oh well EDIT-this bag is HUGE but good for packing beach items, etc

You are so sweet to say that. Kathy, I posted the free link in projects. It has two links actually, one is for inserting a top zipper in a small bag, but this will work in ANY size bag, just get a long enough zipper!

She did Carolyn, they just left...with the bags too! I made a small one to match and I had to sew her strap on the big one, as I just had it basted, in case I had to adjust. They waited,as she wasn't leaving without it.

You've outdone yourself Toogie I love it. I chuckled when I looked at the close ups . Several of the fabrics I have. Your decorative stitching gives it even more character./Lillian

i like the variety of fabrics in colors and designs that you used. It gives the eye a lot to look at. Your decorative stitches really add interest to it to. I found myself searching for the stitches! Well done!

Don't look too close to those decorative stitches. My machine acted up and I had to compromise with over stitching, so you may not recognize the stitch-lol-Thanks-T

Thanks, you know when I went looking for back fabric, I almost didn't get this one. I wanted something bright or tropical, and there was no other, but now I like how it made up.

She knows and she read all of these post from Cute. They came tonight and ate with us. We had some fresh catfish my son gave us and my husband cooked while I made her little bag to go with this. She really likes them.
