Hi there ladies! I wish to try a trapunto design...has any of you made anything using this technique?

Any tricks and tips to follow? Plus where can I get some designs to try this....preferably free!

Being pedantic, all of the trapunto designs I have seen are really simple quilting. In trapunto quilting, narrow channels are created and woollen yarn is threaded through them afterwards. Wadding may be used when stitching the design, but I don't think this is traditionally done.

Oh ok....but Sue I am talking about those trapunto designs which can be done on an embroidery machine! I have seen some beautiful ones....and it will be easier for a non quilter like myself to do! But I didn't find any which I liked to purchase ....wonder if any other embroidery design would work with this technique! ?
