Modern Doily with Flair.
For this doily, I have used only Part 1 (of two) of the wing of the FSL Swan (made for 4x4" HUS hoop) from the 3D Lace Swan & Specialty Lace collection by Sue Box.

Thank you, Chris. I didn't digitise anything, if you look at the bottom end of the design of photo #2, you see the part that has created the centre. I'm going to upload a third photo that shows the five pieces in different colours, showing how my software has done it.

It hope you know how helpful that photo is to me/us who want to create some of these great doilies you are making!. Wish there was a pic like this on the first doily you did as I can not seem to get imy layout correct for that one.

Lidia, this is really creative.. and very pretty...you have inspired me a lot. I have stitched 5 of the heart design but I dont know how to put them together. The centre looks very empty when put together. I am

I haven't stitched the five heart designs individually, my software has created the doily with the five heart designs and I have stitched it in one hooping. I think that you can stitch them together and to help you and some other Cuties, I'll upload a picture of the layout made by my software in my heart doily post. Hugs, Lidia

I have been able to stitch this FSL doily out in one hooping because I have a large hoop and software that puts designs how I want, to fit my hoop, exactly, so there is no mess when my machine stitches the doily out.
Yes, I do mess up sometimes and it happens when I want to create a doily with a design that hasn't been designed to be stitched out as an applique and it happened recently. Examining the stitch-out, I understood what the problem was, stitched the same doily out again, and I'm very happy with the end result.
