Classic FSL Doily.
I have made this doily with two designs from the 3D Lace Swan & Specialty Lace by Sue Box: the End Basket design from the Oval Basket (photo #2) and the Doily Centre design (photo #3) from the Large Doily.

Absolutely beautiful Lidia! Such a great job combining these designs :) these doilies must be a lot of work as they have so many stitches.....but worth it I would say :)

Thank you, Fatima. I have used my software to combine the designs and it was a matter of minutes. This doily has a lot of stitches but in ONE colour only, I was free to attend to other things while my machine was stitching, I only had to replace the bobbin when the machine stopped. I had much more work to do when I have stitched out designs with 48 colour changes.

Thank you for your comment. I'm using a software for combining the designs. Once you know how the software works, then it's easy to do it.

There is no need for me to hand or machine-stitch all the parts together, Christine. I combine the parts in my software and I stitch the whole doily out in one hooping. The complete doily measures 199x212mm (7.84x8.33") and I stitch it out in my 200x260mm hoop (8x10"
Then I rinse it and let the doily dry. When dry, the doily is useable.

I understand you use software to combine the designs but do you slightly overlap the designs? Or just butt them up to each other?

This is what I do: I open one design only (this time is the end basket), select the Circle from the Auto Repeat function and the software overlaps the designs. This time there was a round space left in the middle, so I chose the second design and placed it in the middle. If you would like to have more info, send me a PM. Hugs, Lidia
No, that makes perfect sense to me. Actually I forgot about using the auto repeat. Great idea. My new Dream Machine has so many features that are new to me. I am still learning and getting accustomed to. Thanks, Susan
