EDITED MONDAY_SCROLL DOWNHello Cuties- do you ever get frustrated and have this happen to you? I was just about finished with a sewing project (just another bag) and ran out of regular sewing thread in the color I needed. I ran out of thread, top stitching the strap/handle. All I had left was to sew it on and make my zipper pulls... I guess now I have no reason not to clean up my mess-lol-as I can't sew, and may even have to cook later!-lol-EDITED Sat night- When we went to fabric shop, my husband was waiting in the car.Look at my comment to cfidl. He saw a soldier trying to load something,in his car, by himself. It was heavy (my DH is not suppose to be lifting!) and of course he went to help, because the guy was struggling. Anyway, I am in the fabric shop, just checked out, and I see him rushing in. He had blood on his hands and head, look at his eye! After the lady at the fabric shop got the first aid kit, and he got bandaged, he told us what happened, best he could remember. He said the guy bought a large rolling tool chest with drawers, you know the kind. Anyway, he couldn't get it in the trunk of his car, so he opened the box and was going to try to load it in the back seat. He couldn't get it by himself and that's when my hubby went to help. They each had an end. The guy was twisting it, trying to get it through the door,I guess, and my husbands hand slipped. About the same time, he stepped in a parking lot pothole and fell on his knee. He said he tried to catch the ground/his fall and that's why his hand was bleeding. Cut it in two places, scratched his knee and he had jeans on. He doesn't know what happened with the eye, but his face is skint too. He said he thought he hit his head on something, but wouldn't go to the ER. It scared the soldier and his wife. They gave him a bottle water and asked if he would be okay. That is when he told them he would go meet me in the fabric shop. I tell you, he's been giving me scares lately, with bp up and down, and now this. I told him its a wonder it is not his back, too.EDITED MONDAY- Went to opthamologist today and he said it should clear up in about a week. Blood vessels ruptured. Said the thin skin covering the white of the eye filled with blood causing it to look like a bubble, (see bottom photo) Thing is he also found he has the beginnings of cataracts in both eyes. Because he hasn't quite met his deductible for this year yet, it cost $87. I was waiting for him to complain about how he knew it was okay and we just wasted $$- It didn't take long because when we got out we saw a man we knew. Guy was asking about his eye. Hubby told story and then said, she just had to bring me in and pay $$ and I told her nothing wrong. I calmly said that I thought it was a good price for peace of mind and seeing a specialist, but I did think $87.00 was VERY high for a spool of thread!-lol-lol-
