Woo hoo. My new machine (Janome MC15000) has arrived. It has been in the house for 3 hours and is all put together and a couple of built in designs have been stitched out. All is well except my credit card balance!

Good to find out what you finally decided on for a new machine! I think going from the 11000 to the 15000 is a great move - better than having gone to the 12000. The 12000 isn't as much of a difference from the 11000.
Have fun with your new machine - I know you'll love it!

The 12000 is shortly to be discontinued. Actually it is quite a lot different to the 11000. The hoops are the same size as the 15000.
by blueeyedblonde 23 Apr 2015
Yes, the last time I was at the dealers, they commented that the 11000 and now the 12000 was because they don't need so many TOL machines.
That's why theye had such good prices on them - so anyone wanting one, it would be a good deal.

Congrats, Sue! Nice to have such a large hoop, it makes life a lot easier when you want to sew BIG designs - no splitting, no second hooping. I bet you'll be burning the midnight oil.

Unfortunately it has come at a very busy time. I'm just going out to choir practice, we also have appointments for the rest of the week. Big sister (newrecruit) is coming tomorrow to take away the 11000, so she will need some intensive training.......

We have a lady at our J-club who kept hers in the box for a year!
by Patricia109 24 Apr 2015
My dealer took mine out of the box when I bought it so no chance for it to stay in the box. I took it home on the back seat of the car.

Well Done! I hope you enjoy the machine as mush as I enjoy mine. I took a brave plunge and bought mine as soon as it was released in the UK. Got a very good bargain for purchasing early. The credit card has recovered from the shock. In my defence I say "As I have never wanted a car of my own you could say the theoretical car sits in my workroom!"

How exciting.I read with interest the comments on the Yahoo Group. I will have to be content with what I have (I love my machines) for awhile as the house needs all our extra funds at this time. So much to do here (carpet, remodel kitchen and bathrooms, landscaping and on and on.) Becky

Congratulations, looking forward to seeing what you can do with this one.

What made you decide on this machine versus any other? My local sewing machine shop has someone trading in their 15000 and said I could probably get it for a good discount if I am interested. I like the larger hoop sizes but I would like to know what swayed you to choose this model over anything else
Thanks and most of all have fun!

I decided to stick with Janome as my local dealer is fantastic. I've had the MC11000SE for about 4 years and wanted bigger hoops. I considered the MC12000, but I discovered that is shortly to be discontinued. (The hoops are the same.) Then I found there was a good price offer on ex demo models which I couldn't resist!
by Sewmum1 24 Apr 2015
Thank you so much. I didn't know the 12000 was due to be discontinued. My dealer here in Aust may not even be aware of that yet. We seem to be a number of months behind.
