Hello Cuties, I just finished another bag. I am still uncertain about my color strips, but these are what I had. By making my back with a whole piece of fabric, I did cut the pattern in half at the bottom, and allowed more for my seam to sew bottom together again. I have inside pockets again and my name! Again, here is the link for the pattern and instructions, all free.-Toogie

I knew some of the Cuties here were fond of purple but I didn't know that included you. I am glad you like it, thanks.

Thank you Kathy, it looks better in person. Some of the photos came out dark, so I used a flash, and now they are too bright. I took it at night and I think it also has to do with the lighting in my house. I am not a purple person, although I do like this back fabric. The other were scraps/strips I had.

Good Lillian. Do like I do sometimes. If you can leave everything out, or have a sewing room where you can just close the door, run in at free minutes and sew a seam or two. That's not an ideal way to make things but I know your time is not your own or its limited.

I think this would be a cute bag for a young girl to use for her bathing suit.....maybe it's not big enough...but it sure is cute. I'm thinking of making the bag for my granddaughters and put some embroidery on the front!!!
THanks

this is darling - your strips are great and I love the inside pocket you added. Thanks for the link - one of these might be in my future. what do you think about some fusible fleece to add substance to the bag? I carry lots of things... including my knitting.

Fusible fleece sounds good to me, I don't see why not. I've even though about quilting one.
