This is my version of toogies hobobag. I expanded the bottom so I could gather. I ended up with elastic which makes more sense. I tried to put in the zipper using the directions and nope did not work, so I looked it up online and discovered I did it right, just not in the right place. I was not up for another attempt on a curve so I did elastic instead. Which meant I could not finish it the same way and had to improvised. I do have zig zagged seams showing inside the sides. I like it. I made the strap too long, so I have to make a pocket and I made it wide for comfort. I hope to fill it with delicious tomotoes, peppers and other garden delights come harvest.

Thank you Lillian. It also would make a good dirty clothes bag for in the suitcase.

So glad you gave it a try! The elastic makes it unique. Really like the fabric, design of fabric reminds me some that I have, but I like your colors.I am wondering where you put the zipper, since you said you did put it, but in the wrong place? I don't see it....garden tomatoes sound good right now!

Me too! Seeing all your gorgeous bags, This one was so simple I had to! I took the zipper out and replaced it with elastic. I can do zippers, just not on curves - yet! I am going to try a more substantial bag soon.

I never make two bags that are alike. I like to take a basic pattern and make it my own which is exactly what you did here, and now it is uniquely yours. Great job!
