Wallet made with regular sewing, not ITH like dailylaundry's wallet and not nearly as pretty, either. I didn't have a pattern, but I did have a wallet like this, that had seen better days. Laura's wallet is so pretty and if I had a big hoop machine, I surely would have made it ITH. It took me most of yesterday, to figure it out and make (in between job and daily activities). I wish I had used the fabric like my purse, because this was scrap fabric and really too thick. It was so thick at the card pocket sides, I could not top stitch it all the way around. This one actually has 3 places for money bills (if you have that much-lol) or receipts, etc. There is one between the back of the cards and the zipper coin pocket. I made the checkbook separately and inserted it in the wallet. My old wallet had a coin purse on the back, you know the kind that has the little knobs you twist open. I can't think what the coin frame is called. Oh well, I put a slip pocket there for my IPhone, and that made it even thicker where the card pockets are, too. Laura wanted me to show you so here it is, but as I say, hers is so much prettier.-Toogie

I think you did a perfect job with lovely fabric. It has a place for everything and you made it. So much better than a store bought one

You are more than generous and I thank you. I just had to see if I could do it. All I could find on You Tube was duct tape trifold wallets. That is why I went by mine and I liked all the compartments I already had.

Great job on the wallet!! Love the fabric wallets as they weigh so much less that the leather ones when they are filled. Also like the choice of fabric - makes for a lovely wallet.

I liked the color but it is a coarse, thick fabric. I usually spray my cloth purses with fabric protector like Scotch Guard to protect from soils, too. Thanks for looking.

Lol-I really don't sleep much. I always heard as you get older you don't need as much sleep, but I think it's more like you can't sleep....I took photos as I went along so IF I made another I would have my steps recorded. I wish I would have made me a pattern to keep, though.

Thanks Cindy, I wish I would have made it in the fabric to match the purse I just made, though. I didn't want to waste my good fabric, in case it didn't come out right.

It is fantastic! I am almost ready to do some ITH. I would like to do a wallet or purse combo.

Christine, unfortunately I don't have a large size hoop. This is not ITH but sewn the old fashion way, with a regular sewing machine. This one sold at the craft fair I did a few weeks ago, since I made another one to match my purse. I don't think I want to make anymore though. Takes too much time figuring.
