Petti-Skirt for my G-Niece, Penelope...this is one I make for each g-niece for their first birthday...it is the Kiaya Eve pattern which I just love...it is so well constructed and it will fit her until she is four years old...I know it will be a big hit for her party!

I have also posted the link to the pattern and a video tutorial on the Martha Stewart website...

I had no idea there were patterns like this. Is the fabric organza? It is lovely.

Thanks, Christine...frilly petti-skirt is sparkle bridal tulle...the skirt yoke is silky charmeuse...I got the pattern about 8 years ago on the Martha Stewart website when she had the originator of the Kiaya Eve Petti-Skirt as a special guest...

This is just beautiful. I know your little niece will just love it!
I made one (not exactly like this) for my little 2yr old granddaughter and everyday, EVERYday when she comes in from mother's morning out, she goes first thing to get her skirt to put it on.

Thanks Toogie...my Niece wanted a Kiaya Eve skirt, but they were almost $150 back then...I was lucky to stumble on the exact Kiaya Eve petti-skirt pattern one day while watching Martha Stewart's show...they are really constructed so well...and it cost under $10 to make using bridal tulle...what a bargain!

Great to see this! I came home last night from 3 1/2 weeks with my 3yr old granddaughter twirling all around the house and know that the family will enjoy seeing your skirts in motion!

Thank you all for your kind words...for anyone wanting to make this using bridal tulle...it took about 5-1/2 yards of tulle that was 54" wide...and only 1/4 yard of the satin charmeuse...I am not sure why the pattern calls for 1-1/2 yards of satin charmeuse...
