I was up at 4.30 and did the same . We have a service at the complex and it will be the first one I have been to (only moved in last Dec) My father is a ex servicemen plus he did pass away on the 24th April 11 years ago so a extra pray her him .God Bless

It is such a moving service. Thoughts go to all service men and women

We were up at 5am, took a 3 minute drive onto the beach at Wedge Island Western Australia (we were on the mainland opposite) It is always lovely then after the service we get the children to throw flowers into the ocean. Always very moving.

Lest we forget, is truly the words to remember as our freedoms have not been for free as many men and women have given their very lives for the blessings we have in whatever country we are from. Any location that has had such loss of life you seem to feel the very spirits of those that died there like they are also saying do not forget the sacrifices that we made. Whatever nation we are from, we have blessings today that bless us immensely, almost beyond measure from what prior generations have had through their lives. I pray that we will each do all we each can in order to try to, not only respect other peoples choices, and at the same time do all we can to to try to listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost in order to try to bring our spirits closer to our Father in Heaven. I thank every serviceman or woman and especially pay tribute to the families who have lost loved ones and recognize that they then had huge additional struggles through this life as they had to continue on with life without the loved ones they so cherished. Humble thanks to each of you.

its been a very emotional day being the 100th anniversary,a day to proud to Australian

Yes Chris it has been an emotional and memorable day. We attended our local Anzac Day March. Each year Richard takes one of our old cars in the march to carry the older veterans. This old chap has travelled in our car for the past three years. He was looking for our car when we arrived this morning. Four of our grandsons are in the Army Cadets and marched. The eldest was the flag bearer. The other grand kids marched with their schools. I was so proud of them all. The second eldest fainted with the heat at the end of the service.
We finished the day with a display of our 3 old cars with our local car club at the race course. I think I will sleep well to-night. Hugs Marg

Thanks for sharing this with us. So many men and women have fought to keep peace in our world. I find it so hard to grasp that it takes so few to ruin things for the world and so many to right the world again. Blessings on all Australian men and women and their families who work so hard and to those who were maimed or lost their lives to make the world safe.
