Family packing up to go home after a wonderful, hectic week with us. We will have to go with them to the airport as too much luggage to get into the car they have hired. We will stop off for an early lunch on the way.

1) our harbour
2) twins with their dad
3) on the beach
4) ditto
5) my daughter and DH with the twins in the forest
6) much love between these two

Looks like a wonderful time. Your #2 picture looks very much like our Southern Oregon Coastline but we have more craggy rock cliffs along the waters edge so the #2 is like in our protected bay areas. I love the ocean and the tide pools to explore. So glad you had a wonderful week and now you can again rest up and look forward to the next visit and building even more wonderful memories. Wonderful that the twins are so close and hope that they will always be as they will have a fantastic friend for life if they do. Thank you for sharing your family photos, they show the family love. Pam

Thank you Pam. The water is just down the road from us and we only ever 'explore' when we have people staying - so very silly

Since I have been down to a walker and then the last year an electric chair it makes it very hard to look but not be able to get out on the beach. Our area does have some access to beach areas that my husband can drive a truck down onto, when tides are appropriate, but since my goal would be to walk on the hard wet sand, I am at a stubborn stage, of not even trying it as I would need the electric cart and that would not give me the same satisfaction of beach walks that I have treasured over the years. I believe I will yet be healed and am waiting for that time whether through my gifted surgeons hands or the power of God fixing this poor body. Just want to stress to everyone to do all that you can as you may not always have the ability or time and things like beach walks, sea shell hunts and hikes along scenic trails are priceless. Even trips into the yard to tend to roses or just some planters can lift the spirit as does every time my body allows me to stitch at my machines. You do not expect these limitations at just 54 yr but I also have met many far younger that are much worse off and also without the hope that they will be able to get some of their health restored. PLEASE everyone just treasure and make use of what you are blessed to be able to do, big or little. Pam

What a wonderful visit you all had together and special memories to treasure. I am so blessed that you share them with us. I love watching them growing and changing into the people they will be.

Oh Sarah, the place you live is beautiful! I love water, always have, always will. The sounds, smell, scene is so relaxing to me. You are fortunate to live there. You also are so blest with this wonderful family, but I know you know that already. They seem so happy and very lovable. Thanks for showing us the photos. Have a great day, Toogie

Thank you Toogie. We are just so lucky to live here. When I first met my husband he bought me to this magical place and I told him that I would love to retire here........... The rest is history

Hi Sarah, wow what a beautiful coastline you have. I love the ocean and we are also lucky to be only 5 minutes away from it. What a great picture of Klaus with Charlotte and the twins and of course the two of them cuddling on the railings. Your weather looks like what it is here now after the worst storms we've ever been through!!!!

It's lovely to have family staying with you, but oh so tiring! I hope you are enjoying some free time now and relaxing on a beautiful Sunday. Love Chris

I have to say that I feel exhausted. Having done six loads of washing after their departure yesterday and another one today but that is what goes when you have a full household. My little pekingese Mushu is very pleased that it is all over.
I am pretty sure our coastline is very similar to yours
