Another bag. When I made a foundation piecing quilt I had lots of tiny scraps leftover so following a tip that I found somewhere I applied them to 3 1/2" strips of interfacing to be saved for a future project. Well this turned out to be that project. Of course it also needed an accessory piece. Here again I used R-foam plus as my base for the bag. This will be for my middle daughter. The embroidery is the Meadowflower font with some additional flowers added.

Great job! Love the blues and the designs. Did you quilt it ITH or other way?

The little bag was quilted ITH. The big bag has the little pieces of fabric sewn into 3 " strips of interfacing which I sewed on to the R-foam with the sew and flip method.

What a lovely pieced bag you've done& these colors are delightful too. Would you please describe what R foam plus is& is it a stabilizer or not? Thanks for sharing your project. :~D

R-foam plus is a soft and formable stabilizer is easy to stitch and a great foundation for purses. It is a thin layer of foam with another layer of tricot on each side that is fusible. It also comes in a sew-in version. I do not use it to embroider on, I fuse my embroidered piece to it.
