I would like to make a learn to stitch child thing. I need some sayings to frame it out. Any suggestions? Here are the blocks I want to use. I am not a writer. Stitch in time saves nine. I do not even know what that means. Back stitch your seams? If it rips Stitch it quick? Lol!

"A stitch in time saves nine" was a reminder to repair a small hole, rip or tear before it became a big hole etc. Very good advice when it was a knitted item. It might go with the sewing lady.

How about general sewing creating. I am making this for my future grandchild in case I am not around. I is important to me. Thanks for the post. I like "if it rips stitch it quick" better even if it doesn't rhyme.
I'm short on proverbs - a lot of wisdom from my grandmas but all of it in Dutch :)
That is so wonderful for you to have those messages.

How about...measure twice, cut once...sew on to success...Keep your Sewing Machine close and your Seam Ripper closer...Make do and Mend...Sewing mends the Soul...Sew, a Needle Pulling Thread...The inside Must be as Good as the outside..,I'm not gonna buy that, I can make it...When life gives you scraps, make quilts....

I really want something original if I can. Sometimes I wish I was a poet, I feel I have it in me, just can't get it out.
